On this day in 2014, the animated short ‘Feast’ opened in theaters, playing ahead of ‘Big Hero 6.’ The short film follows Winston the Boston Terrier (literally at his eye level) and uses food to illustrate his changing relationship with his owners over the years. ‘Feast’ used a combination of 2-D hand-drawn animation with the same CG-hybrid animation style used in ‘Paperman,’ called “Meander.” ‘Feast’ won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2015.
