More details about who will be joining the cast of the fourth season of Only Murders the Building continue to trickle out. The newest addition comes off directing Flamin’ Hot. Eva Longoria has been cast in Only Murders in the Building with a recurring role. This has Longoria join Meryl Streep and Molly Shannon, who have both already been confirmed as joining the next season of the series. Streep joined last season as Loretta Durkin and became the love interest of Martin Short’s Oliver Putnum. Shannon will be playing a high-powered LA business woman who is drawn into the world of investigation that Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver, and Mabel (Selena Gomez) have in New York City.
There aren’t many details known about the plot of this season of Only Murders in the Building. All that is known is that the season will be focusing on figuring out who killed Charles-Haden Savage’s stunt double Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) from his days on Brazzos, which had also recently had a revival. Another detail that is known is that at least a portion of this season will be taking place in Los Angeles. However, at some point it will return to New York and the Arconia.
Only Murders in the Building was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. They co-executive produce the series with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. A timeline for when season four of the series will go into production or be released on Hulu has not been shared at this time.
