Meryl Streep - Only Murders in the Building

Meryl Streep Returning to ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4

After joining the cast of Only Murders in the Building in season 3 as  Loretta Durkin, Meryl Streep will be returning in the 4th season as well. Loretta was in Oliver Putnum’s (Martin Short) musical and also became his love interest. At the end of the third season, she was offered a job in Los Angeles. It wasn’t known at the time if this would lead her away from the series or if the series could perhaps follow her.

With season 4 still a ways off, it now looks like Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver, and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) will all be heading to Los Angeles for part of the season. They will ultimately be returning to the Arconia in New York City, however, to solve the death of Charles’ stunt double Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). At this time, when the fourth season will begin filming or arrive on Hulu isn’t known.

What is known is that Meryl Streep won’t be the only guest star in season 4 of the series. Molly Shannon will also be joining as a guest star. The score for the first three seasons of Only Murders in the Building is now available on vinyl on an album called Only Music in the Building.

Only Murders in the Building was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. They co-executive produce the series with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. A timeline for when season four of the series will go into production or be released on Hulu has not been shared at this time. Daps Magic will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
