One Last Ride on the Huff and Puff at Knott’s January 7

Knott’s Berry Farm will have last rides on the classic Huff and Puff attraction before it closes. The last day to ride will be January 7. Starting that day, Camp Snoopy will have a series of “badges” to obtain by riding the various attractions around the Peanuts themed area. Other attractions will have them throughout the year up to the opening of the revamped Camp Snoopy.

Huff and Puff has been a beloved attraction since it opened in 1983. Former Disney Imagineer Eddie Sotto worked on the ride, and it has become a beloved attraction. Camp Snoopy will be expanding two attractions and adding another in its revamp to open in the spring. You can find out more information here.

Personally, this is one of my all-time favorite rides at any theme park. I would ride it as a kid so many times, and marveled (again as a kid) about how I could make it go. It is one that I wish I could go on again, but there is a maximum height limit.

Below is the press release about the closure and badges. Do you have any memories from the ride? Let us know in the comments below.

This Sunday, January 7, 2024, marks the last day guests will get to ride the Camp Snoopy classic, Huff and Puff. To commemorate the event, guests can “earn” their Huff and Puff Last Ride merit badge. This will be the first badge in a series of limited-edition merit badges that guests can earn leading up to the opening day of the reimagined Camp Snoopy this summer. The badges are exclusive to guests only on January 7 and only while supplies last.

Originally opening in 1983, Huff and Puff has delighted little campers for decades. This one-of-a-kind ride system sends little campers chugging along the track at the speed of their own strength. This summer, Camp Snoopy will be reimagined toallow campers of all ages to become full-fledged Beagle Scouts as they explore new rides, new character experiences, new entertainment, a new dining hall, a new camp store, plus more seating and ambiance.

Every month leading up to the reveal of the new Camp Snoopy, guests can collect their limited-edition merit badges. Each special date will be announced on Knott’s Berry Farm social media channels a few days ahead of the giveaway.
