On Friday night, fans crowded in front of the stage at Paradise Bay to watch the final two performances of Phat Cat Swinger of Disney Festival of Holidays. The crowd and the band were both full of energy as the night began, and that did not let down as things continued. Band founder Marco Palos and crooner Mark Kopitzke took that energy to an even higher level as their voices filled the night with holiday classics both new and old. The band and the crowd matched the energy, making for a very magical night.
Phat Cat Swinger performed two sets throughout the night. The first set was at 5:30 PM. It had some classic Christmas songs that have been heard in previous years, a Phat Cat Swinger original, and a new one this year in the form of the Snow Miser/Heat Miser Song from 1974’s The Year Without A Santa Claus. Daps Magic team member Angela was on hand to film the performances and they can be seen below.

The second and final set of the night was at 6:45 PM and the energy of all who were on hand was at another level. This set included classics like White Christmas and Santa Claus is Coming to Town and newer favorites like What Christmas Means to Me and Marco’s incredible rendition of You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch. As the band wrapped up the set, the crowd yelled “nooo” in goodhearted protest of the end of the performance and the band’s run during this Disney Festival of Holiday. This set can be seen here:

Phat Cat Swinger was founded over two decades ago by Marco Palos and Will Pattinson, also known as “The Sheriff.” Through the coming years, this band has made thousands of people happy with their energetic music, positive outlook, and incredible showmanship. They have played regularly at different festivals at the Disneyland Resort, special events, and have toured the world. The band has also released multiple albums that can be found on streaming services. Their Christmas album has many of the songs that are heard in the Disney Festival of Holidays performances.
At this point, it isn’t known when Phat Cat Swinger will be performing at the Disneyland Resort. However, Daps Magic will continue to keep tabs on this incredible band and where to see them perform. Hopefully they will be making music magic at The Happiest Place on Earth! again real soon!
