Disney On Ice has announced a new show that will be touring the country this year. Called Spotlight Magic!, it will invite fans to step into the spotlight and experience a glamorous red-carpet celebration. It will include new performances, incredible music, and over 30 favorite Disney characters.
Spotlight Magic! will be hosted by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. It will celebrate the magic that everyone brings to the party as the spotlight travels through many different Disney worlds, heroes, sidekicks, and even villains! Each will get their moment with music, storytelling, and incredible skating.
There will be some new characters making their Disney On Ice debuts in this show. This will include Gazelle and Gary De’Snake from Zootopia 2 as they join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for a new adventure. Angel from Lilo & Stitch will make her North American debut as she soars high above the arena on a sparkling chandelier before she reunites with Stitch in a heartwarming on-ice moment.
There will also be moments from Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, Toy Story, Moana, and Monsters, Inc. included in this show. On top of that, there will also be a never-before-seen showcase that features Disney’s iconic villains. This includes the Evil Queen, Gaston, Maleficent, and Ursula! The soundtrack for the show will blend Disney Channel hits like Pumpin’ Up the Party (Hannah Montana), A Night to Remember (High School Musical 3: Senior Year), and Good to Be Bad (Descendants 3), along with timeless classics like You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story), Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast), I’ve Got a Dream (Tangled), and I Am Moana (Moana).
There will also be some incredible aerial acrobatics seen during this show, a kinetic chandelier made of 64 glowing light bars, cutting-edge LED technology, and some stunning choreography performed by world-renowned figure skaters. Throughout the show, there will be moments designed to immerse audiences in Hollywood-inspired magic. This includes moments that range from shimmering lanterns illuminating the arena to performers riding aboard a moving camera boom that sweeps spotlights on the ice.
There will also be the opportunity for guests to take to the red carpet and show off their star power before the show and during intermission. Fans are encouraged to dress their best and be a part of the big night!
This new show will join a solid lineup of other Disney On Ice shows that are currently touring around the globe. This includes Jump In!, Find Your Hero, Magic of Family, Mickey’s Search Party, Road Trip Adventures, Magic in the Stars, and Let’s Dance!. All of these shows bring Disney magic to hometowns around the globe.
Disney On Ice is produced by Feld Entertainment and, through the years, has entertained in over 80 countries on six continents. Millions have smiled as these performances bring Disney magic to life right before their eyes.
A new experience is now being offered by Disney On Ice. It is the Magical Pass. This includes premium seats and the chance to visit with a special Disney star before the show, along with a collectible lanyard.
