It’s time again for the countdown of the top Disney stories that really made some buzz throughout the year. The number five spot goes to one event, but several announcements. At the very first presentation of Destination D23 in September, several park announcements were made to the awe of the crowd and viewers at home. Many already known items, such as the opening of World Celebration at Epcot and the Hatbox Ghost were presented. But, others caught many by surprise like a refresh of Country Bears and the new Zootopia film going to the Tree of Life theater. A huge announcement was the transformation of Dinoland in Animal Kingdom to be a South America looking area with some possible Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions. The possibly bigger announcement was Figment making an appearance the very next day!
Over on the west coast was the look at the new Avengers attraction coming to Disney California Adventure. Other big looks throughout the parks and resorts were some glimpses and announcements for the cruise line and destinations they will be taking.
