Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom currently can experience it’s tough to be a bug at the Tree of Life Theater. On Saturday at the Destination D23 event, it was announced that this show will be replaced with a new show themed to Zootopia. The current concept for the show would have guests visiting the different biomes in the the world that is seen in the film. The show will include Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and other characters.
The concept art shows several different characters from Zootopia. Along with judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, it appears that an Officer Clawhauser animatronic will be a part of the show as well. At this point, the concept for this show has not finalized completely. Imagineers are working on nailing this down.
The Tree of Life is a 145-foot-tall (44 m) centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. It is a massive artificial tree that is covered in 102,915 leaves, 8,000 branches, and 1,200 animals.
The tree was designed by Imagineer Joe Rohde, who wanted to create a focal point for the park that would celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature. The tree is made of steel and concrete, but it is covered in a layer of stucco that gives it the appearance of a real tree. The animals on the tree were created by a team of artists and sculptors, and they represent a variety of species from around the world.
The Tree of Life was built over a period of two years and was officially opened to the public on April 22, 1998, Earth Day. It has since become one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it is often featured in promotional materials for the park.
In addition to its beauty, the Tree of Life also serves a practical purpose. It is home to the Tree of Life Theater, which hosts a variety of shows and performances. The tree is also used as a projection surface for nighttime shows.
