Walt Disney Imagineering Shows Off Ride Testing For Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs at Hong Kong Disneyland

Today Walt Disney Imagineering revealed a look at the ride testing for Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs at Hong Kong Disneyland. This comes as they prepare for guests to experience the attraction and new surrounding land in November 2023. The video of the ride-testing was shared on social media jointly by Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Parks accounts and can be seen here:

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a family-friendly roller coaster (similar to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World Resort) that will be a part of the new World of Frozen that is being built at Hong Kong Disneyland. It is inspired by Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna where Oaken works in the Frozen franchise. An update that was shared earlier this year gave a big-picture look at the land and recently an update was given for the other attraction in the land, Frozen Ever After. This showed an update to the faces of Anna and Elsa in the finale scene as compared to the animatronic versions seen in EPCOT’s version of the attraction.

Amanda Chiu, Senior Producer, Walt Disney Imagineering, shared about the expansion saying, “World of Frozen prides itself as the park’s largest expansion and the world’s first Frozen-themed land that will be home to two new attractions, namely Frozen Ever After and the first-of-its-kind Frozen-themed family-friendly roller coaster Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, a quick-service restaurant and other merchandise outlets.”

“In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on Summer Snow Day,” said Michel Den Dulk, Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering.
