All Voyages for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Sold Out

All voyages for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser are now sold out. This comes as it was announced recently that the Halcyon would be taking its final trip to a galaxy far, far away in September. Initially, sales for future cruises were paused. Those who had booked the cruise after the final cruise date were given the option for new cruise dates before the end of September. Then on May 26th, sales reopened and by the end of the day, the Halcyon had sold all of its berths on its remaining cruises. There were no discounts offered when sales reopened.

In the afternoon, the following post could be found on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser webpage:

As of May 26, 2023 at 4:30pm ET, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is unavailable for new bookings.

However, availability may still be subject to change and a very limited number of rooms could become available for new bookings from time to time. Please continue to check the website for any updates to availability.

It is not expected that any new sailings for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be offered. It is possible that some cabins will become available if people change or cancel their travel arrangements.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser launched in the spring of 2022. Those who experienced it loved it but many found the price prohibitive to be able to experience this fully immersive Star Wars experience. As time moved on, many of the cruises were not filling completely. Disney eventually scaled back how many cruises were being offered and then began to offer different discounts. This apparently was not a sustainable business model, which led to the decision to close it.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Experience

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser takes guests to a galaxy far, far away on a galactic adventure. While aboard the Halcyon, guests get to experience character encounters, go on interactive missions, go on remote planet excursions, and more. During their two-night voyage guests interact with the Resistance and the First Order, visit Batuu, and create their own Star Wars story based on the decisions they make.

The story told in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser finds the ship marking its 275th anniversary with a celebratory re-creation of its maiden voyage to Batuu, a far-flung destination along the galaxy’s Outer Rim at the edge of Wild Space guests experience when they visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The planet is home to Black Spire Outpost, a bustling, infamous port home to smugglers, traders, and adventurers wishing to avoid any unnecessary … entanglements with the First Order.

After the starcruiser establishes its orbit around Batuu, guests take dedicated transports directly to the planet’s surface, disembarking through an exclusive entrance at the outpost’s Docking Bay 3. Upon arrival, guests may receive messages from characters in the Star Wars: Datapad within the Play Disney Parks app – sent by those they met onboard the ship – to engage in special and specific missions on Batuu. As they accomplish various tasks – from “slicing” (hacking) systems to delivering messages and more – their reputations within the story build and evolve, impacting how their adventures unfold when they return to the ship later that day.
