Disney’s Current Movie Release Schedule for 2023-2024

Disney has updated its release schedule for 2023-2024. With this updated release, there is some clarity as to when some highly anticipated movies will be released from across the many different studios owned by The Walt Disney Company. Since the challenges that the pandemic brought to the industry, movie release schedules have been thrown upside-down and have been updated and changed even more frequently than before. This has also meant that some movies are now being released on Disney+, Disney’s streaming service, versus a traditional theatrical release.

Several of these dates were confirmed at last weekend’s D23 Expo, where details about many of these movies were revealed. There were even some trailers released as well. Below is a look at Disney’s movie release schedule as of September 2022.

2023

  • February 17, 2023 – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
  • April 21, 2023 – Next Goal Wins
  • May 5, 2023 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
  • May 26, 2023 – The Little Mermaid
  • June 16, 2023 – Elemental
  • June 30, 2023 – Indiana Jones 5
  • July 28, 2023 – The Marvels
  • August 11, 2023 – Haunted Mansion
  • October 6, 2023 – True Love
  • November 3, 2023 – Blade
  • November 22, 2023 – Wish

2024

  • March 1, 2024 – Elio
  • March 22, 2024 – Snow White (2024)
  • May 3, 2024 – Captain America: New World Order
  • June 14, 2024 – Inside Out 2
  • July 5, 2024 – Mufasa: The Lion King
  • July 26, 2024 – Thunderbolts
  • November 8, 2024 – Fantastic Four
  • December 20, 2024 – Avatar 3

While this is the release schedule for 2023-2024 that is current as of September, 2022, things could be updated. There is definitely room for more releases, especially in 2024.
