Earlier this year, Walt Disney World Resort made some changes to its Disney Genie+ lineup. The changes were supposed to originally remain in effect until August 7th. Then, several attractions would move back to an individual Lightning Lane purchase option. This is not happening now.
Instead, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Expedition Everest will all remain as regular Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane options. In other words, they will be included when a guest purchases the $15 Genie+ offering.
There will still be some attractions that will be offered for individual Lightning Lane purchases. These prices can fluctuate day by day. They include
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
- Rise of the Resistance
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Flight of Passage.
Guests may purchase Disney Genie+ and also Lightning Lane (subject to availability) when they visit Walt Disney World Resort. Each purchase includes only one person and their ticket. Disney Genie+ will then allow guests to make reservations for Lightning Lanes for attractions that offer the service. Lightning Lane individual purchases as mentioned above will only provide access to the one attraction being purchased. There is also a free Disney Genie service that offers guidance and tips for a day at Walt Disney World.
What do you think about these attractions remaining a part of Disney Genie+ instead of being offered as individual Lightning Lanes? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
