Disney Genie to Launch at Walt Disney World on October 19th

After the kickoff of the 50th Anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World Resort, there is another launch set to happen. On October 19th, Disney Genie will launch at Walt Disney World. This new service will be available in the My Disney Experience app for guests of the Resort. It will offer features to help guests get the most out of their Disney day.

The Disney Genie will help create an itinerary for the day so guests can get the most out of their Disney experience. As the day progresses, it will update the itinerary to help guests get the best out of their time. This is done through technology that is constantly evaluating different itineraries and then figuring out what is best for the guest. Disney Parks Blog says that it will:

  • Reduce time in lines while keeping in mind your top picks
  • Pace your day with experiences you’ll enjoy – and haven’t already done yet
  • Build around your existing plans like dining reservations and Park Hopper preferences

Along with launching Disney Genie, the Lightning Lanes will also be launched for Disney Genie+. This will be an add-on to Disney Genie that will be $15 a day per person at Walt Disney World Resort. It will be available for 40+ attractions throughout Walt Disney World Resort. There will also be “a la carte” options for the more popular attractions. Up to two of these can be purchased per day and must be purchased one at a time. Prices my vary by the day for individual “a la carte” Lightning Lane purchases. On October 9th, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 a person and then on October 23rd, it will be $11 per person. For the same dates, Lightning Lane entrance to Expedition Everest will be $ per person or for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance $15 per person. Check the My Disney Experience app for Lightning Lane prices for the dates of your visit.
