New Car Locator Feature Coming to My Disney Experience and Disneyland Apps

A new feature is coming to the My Disney Experience and Disneyland Apps that will help people find their cars when they park at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resorts. The new car locator feature is being presented by State Farm.

This new feature will be launching at Walt Disney World later this summer. It will arrive at Disneyland later this year.

The car locator is a free feature that will use location technology to help guests find and save parking details. The feature works best when Location Services, Bluetooth, and Notifications are all enabled on a mobile device.

When it becomes available, guests will be able to use the new feature at all four of Walt Disney World’s theme parks, Disney Springs, the Disney Water Parks, and also ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Simply open the My Disney Experience app and then tap the car locator card on the home screen. The other option is to utilize the Feature menu (☰) to access the service.

Once the feature has been accessed, follow the prompts to enter parking information. With location permissions enabled on a device, the car locator will help fill in the details. Once it is time to leave, simply return to the car locator for parking information.

The feature will roll out at Walt Disney World Resort later this summer. To access it, guests will need to update the My Disney Experience App. When the car locator arrives at Disneyland Resort, the Disneyland App will also need to be updated to access the feature. More details about the car locator release will be coming out in the future.
