Today Disney+ announced a new series is coming that features some of the characters from The Muppets. In fact, it will feature Doctor Teeth and The Electric Mayhem! The Muppets Mayhem will have this legendary Muppet band going on the journey of recording its first-ever album. To help them make this happen, a junior A&R executive named Nora (played by Lilly Singh) will be tasked with managing and wrangling the band.
The series was developed by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta and Jeff Yorkes and is based on characters created by Jim Henson. The Muppets Mayhem is written by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes. The executive producers are Goldberg, Barretta, Michael Bostick and Kris Eber. Yorkes is also a co-executive producer. The Muppets Studio’s David Lightbody and Leigh Slaughter are also executive producers.
“The Muppets are renowned for quality, creativity and unrivaled, fun storytelling for the whole family,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. “We are thrilled to have Adam, Bill and Jeff at the helm to bring all of these iconic and great new characters to life in fresh and dynamic ways.”

We couldn’t be happier to be the studio that is helping them get the band back together.”
Since first being introduced 45 years ago, The Electric Mayhem has rocked out on TV, in movies, and even on stage! Now is the time for them to record an album and try to go platinum, with the help of the young music executive named Nora.

The Muppets Mayhem stars The Muppets including Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet.
The arrival of The Muppets Mayhem comes after last year’s Muppets Haunted Mansion. Before that The Muppets also released Muppets Now. Both were released on Disney+. The Muppets Mayhem is a Disney Branded Television series and is produced by ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio for Disney+.
