Train lovers should be in Burbank this weekend at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel this weekend for the Toy Train Expo. This weekend celebration of all that is toy trains began today and will continue through tomorrow. Not only will there be full operating layouts of toy trains, there will also be trains for sale and some interesting sessions that talk about different toy trains.
On Saturday August 21, DAPS MAGIC’s very own Doug Marsh will be presenting Walt Disney’s Backyard Railroad at 9:00 AM at the expo. He is one of many seminar presenters throughout the weekend that also included Bob Gurr, Doug Burwell, and more.

Toy Train Expo Official Description:
This year’s TCA convention will feature a Toy Train Expo that will be open to the public on Friday August 20th and Saturday August 21st. Admittance to the expo is free. The expo includes the ‘Meet-the-Experts’ seminars, an assortment of operating model train layouts in several gauges, and a special display featuring rare toy and model trains produced by west coast based manufacturers. On display will be memorabilia, photographs and items made by Bob McCoy, Rich-Art Manufacturing/Dick Mayer, Ira Keeler, the United States Toy Train Company (USTTC), Varney & Sirus Trains, The Thorley Hoople Toy Company, JAD Railway Lines, Jerry Brown Trains, John A. Daniel Railway Lines, Lyle Cain, Jerry Butler and Sons, George Templin, Sunset Models, and Frank Read.
