Fall is coming and it will be celebrated this year at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. While many things will be different, the spirit of the season will be appearing with fall and Halloween decorations showing up at the Magic Kingdom, seasonal foods, and also merchandise.
The fall celebration will begin on September 15th and continue through October 31st. It should come as no surprise but this fall celebration will also be celebrating Halloween. There may not be any official Halloween parties in the park this year but it will still be festive! Beyond the decorations, there will be a festive cavalcade with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and friends wearing Halloween costumes. Head on over to Frontierland and Chip ‘n’ Dale might be seen in their costumes. There will also be some other Disney friends in costume on the horse-drawn trolley riding down Main Street. USA throughout the day.
Disney characters won’t be the only ones in costume though. This year, guests of all ages will be allowed to wear their Halloween costumes into the parks. This is the first time this has been allowed in this way. While costumes are allowed during operating hours at the park, costume masks are not allowed for adults; only children younger than 14 years old are permitted to wear costume masks. Guests over 2 years old will still be required to wear a face covering. It is advised that guests should check out the Know Before You Go page and Costume Guidelines on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
With the fall celebration less than a month away, Disney cast members are already at work getting the decorations ready. Here is a look at some of the work that is in process.
There will also be multiple treats to enjoy during the fall season The ever-popular Pumpkin-spiced Waffle Sundae will be offered at Magic Kingdom Park along with many other treats. DAPS MAGIC will be posting a food guide in the coming days!
There will also be special merchandise that is themed to the season that will be available at select locations throughout Magic Kingdom. These featured items of merchandise include a spirit jersey, Loungefly backpack, and candy-swirl Minnie Mouse headband, as well as other apparel inspired by Disney Villains and more.
Along with all that is mentioned above, there will be special photo ops throughout the park that can come alive with the help of Disney PhotoPass. Watch as some happy haunts materialize in your photos!
