Disneyland Resort Announces New Reserved Shopping Experience

The Disneyland Resort has announced a new way to shop at the Downtown Disney District. This new experience allows guests to reserve a time to shop online ahead of their visit to the Downtown Disney District and was full very quickly.

To participate, guests will choose a shopping window first to get a reservation. Then at their appointed time, they can visit the former ESPN Zone in the Downtown Disney District to go shopping! The system is much like utilized for Disney Dining. A credit card number is required to make the reservation. If a reservation needs to be canceled, this should be done at least a day before or there will be a $10.00 fee. A photo I.D. is also required to enter and each reservation is good for one guest. For those who did get reservations, make sure and plan for time to park and go through the health screening and security.

With the announcement of this new reservation system, it was shared that there will be some Featured Products available. In this case, the featured products are pins that celebrate the 65th anniversary. It is possible that other merchandise will be available at the former ESPN Zone as well.

Initially, reservations for this disappeared quite quickly.  In a tweet, the Disneyland Resort said to check back for future opportunities. With that in mind, expect more experiences like this to show up in the future. Watch the Disneyland Resort social media channels closely if you would like to get in as reservations always are gone quickly.
