Starting in September all four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort will be shortening their daily hours. This news comes as the resort continues to recover from being closed due in March due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The updated hours will begin on September 8th and are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (previously 7:00 PM)
- EPCOT – 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (previously 9:00 PM)
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom –
8:00 AM9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (previously 6:00 PM) - Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (previously 8:00 PM)
The changes in hours mark an hour shorter for each park’s daily operating schedule each day. Disney Springs will continue to remain open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
Shortened operating hours at Walt Disney World Resort parks comes the same week that CEO Bob Chapek acknowledged that the demand for Walt Disney World Resort was not what it was hoped to be. While he did say they anticipate demand to grow, he recognized that discomfort with travel has led to fewer vacationers visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
