Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort has been named the best theme park in the world by Tripadvisor. This comes after it earned the top spot for the Travelers’ Choice Awards, which ranks attractions and destinations globally. With this win, Magic Kingdom knocks Universal’s Islands of Adventure from the top spot. This is a distinction it has held for the last five years. This year, Islands of Adventure came in fifth.
The second place for this year’s Travelers’ Choice Awards went to Puy du Fous of France. After Islands of Adventure, Disney’s Animal Kingdom garnered the fourth spot. Universal Studios Florida took the fifth award. Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in California earned the 11th spot. Disney’s Hollywood Studios came in 12th. Disney California Adventure came in 15th. Hong Kong Disneyland came in 21st with Disneyland Paris in the 22nd spot.
In water park global rankings, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon took sixth-best in the world. This made it the highest-ranking water park in the United States. Disney’s Blizzard Beach showed up at number 19 on the list.
In the United States rankings, Magic Kingdom took first place as well. Universal’s Islands of Adventure took second place on this list as well. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Came in third. Universal Studios Florida took fourth. Universal Studios Hollywood took fifth. Disneyland Park took the seventh spot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios took the eighth spot, and Disney California Adventure took tenth.
