EPCOT World Celebration Festival Center May Not Be What Initially Was Expected

On Wednesday with the reopening of EPCOT, a few changes were noticed in the preview center. There was no longer any reference to Spaceship Earth or the new Mary Poppins attraction. Within hours, Disney confirmed that both were no longer currently moving forward currently. As the day moved on though, it was discovered that these weren’t the only changes coming to the plans for EPCOT.

Later in the day, Disney confirmed this by saying that the EPCOT World Celebration Festival Center wouldn’t be exactly what Disney fans and guests were expecting. Instead, Disney shared that they were “taking a different approach” in regards to the Festival Center.

What does this mean exactly? At this point, it really isn’t known. While work will continue in the World Celebration neighborhood, it will be different than what was originally promoted. With the verbiage that Disney is “taking a different approach,” it isn’t known if the Festival Center will no longer exist at all or if it will not exist in the form that has been presented.

DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available. What different approach do you think should be taken for the EPCOT World Celebration Festival Center? Share your thoughts in the comments below or with DAPS MAGIC on Facebook or Twitter!
