The Walt Disney Family Museum is currently closed due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 in the area. The news comes after the museum originally closed down for the weekend. However, the museum will now be closed for two weeks from the original closure of March 6th or when medical professionals say it is safe for it to reopen.
The decision to close the Walt Disney Family Museum is based on Mayor London Breed’s guidance and is an effort to “undertake extensive due diligence efforts.”
“I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but the health and well-being of our guests, staff, and community are our primary concern,” said Executive Director Kirsten Komoroske. “We thank everyone for your support of the museum during this time, and we send you and your families our best wishes.”
According to an email sent out by the museum, updates for this situation will be found at waltdisney.org/visitor-update.
