Walt Disney Family Museum Closes Again Due to Coronavirus

Walt Disney Family Museum

The Walt Disney Family Museum is again shutting its doors due to the coronavirus. This comes as San Francisco again moves into the Purple Tier in the fight against COVID-19. The following notice was sent out by the Walt Disney Family Museum on Saturday:

Based on San Francisco’s shift to the purple tier today, The Walt Disney Family Museum will be closed beginning tomorrow, Sunday, November 29. For more information on the state’s Blueprint tier status and metrics, please visit covid19.ca.gov. For further guidance and announcements from the City of San Francisco, please visit sf.gov

“We continue to remain deeply committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our visitors and staff,” says museum Executive Director Kirsten Komoroske. “I am grateful for the generous support that we have received from our community, and I look forward to welcoming you back to the museum when we are permitted to reopen.”

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time. If you purchased tickets to visit the museum after today, November 28, 2020, a full refund will be made directly to your original payment method within 10 business days. If you would prefer to donate your tickets back to the museum, please email tickets@wdfmuseum.org. We will provide you documentation of your tax-deductible contribution.

We will continue to regularly provide immersive and engaging virtual programming so that you can enjoy the museum from the comfort of your home. From virtual tours and exhibitions, to in-depth talks, workshops, classes, and group activities, we have a variety of virtual experiences for you to enjoy at waltdisney.org/virtual.

Our team is available to answer any questions you may have. Please email visitor-update@wdfmuseum.org with any inquiries and receive updates at waltdisney.org/visitor-update.

DAPS MAGIC will continue to provide updates on the Walt Disney Family Museum as they become available.
