Disney Fans Celebrate 40 Years of Disco Mickey Album with Voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan

San Diego Comic-Con is a place where fans can get together and appreciate all things geeky! No matter what fandom you consider yourself a part of, there is something for you at this yearly convention! This week, Disney fans have been treated to something totally groovy! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Disco Mickey Album, Mickey and Minnie threw a dance party! They even invited Bret Iwan, the voice of Mickey Mouse, to dance the night away!

The party took over San Diego House of Blues for a perfect mid-week break from the convention! Fans converged on this sold-out event to celebrate the timeless icons, Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Heading up the event was 4-time Grammy® Award-winning musician Questlove with an energetic DJ set! This perfect pairing left guests dancing like it was 1979 all night long!

Mickey and Minnie even made appearances to dance the night away with some of their closest friends. Check out these fun photos from the night below!

That’s not all the fun that came out of San Diego Comic-Con! Today, Disney took up their own panel to talk Mickey Mouse and more! Included in the panel were Bret Iwan, TV producer Bambi Moé (Mousercise, The Little Mermaid) and D23’s Justin Arthur! Joining this all-star line-up was Alyssa Tryon, who oversees the Mickey Mouse brand for the Walt Disney Company and costume design and development manager, Trevor Rush. Fans attending the panel got the special surprise of seeing Mickey and Minnie make a fun appearance! They showed off their groovy moves while simultaneously showing off their 70s inspired outfits!
