Sunday Spotlight: Mickey's Mix Magic

Mickey’s Mix Magic is a nighttime spectacular at the Disneyland Resort that was created to help celebrate Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse’s 90th birthdays. It is an upbeat dance party feeling show that always uses projections but also is coupled with fireworks as well. Mickey’s Mix Magic runs about eleven and a half minutes and has been shown nightly this spring.

About Mickey’s Mix Magic

The history of Mickey’s Mix Magic is a relatively short one. The show debuted at the Disneyland Resort on January 18th as part of Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration. Along with this, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade returned to the Disneyland Resort after a hiatus for Pixar Fest and many other offerings based around Mickey and Minnie came to the Disneyland Resort. This included merchandise, food, Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration in the Downtown Disney District and Mickey’s Philharmagic in Disney California Adventure! It has played nightly since its debut. In general, on the weekends and busy nights it has included fireworks. Midweek shows on less busy days have been solely the projections.

Mickey’s Mix Magic can be viewed from multiple places in Disneyland. On Main Street, there are projections on both sides of Main Street, USA and also on Sleeping Beauty Castle. It also can be viewed in front of it’s a small world where the projections are easier to see with the fireworks above (or without). The show can also be viewed after Fantasmic! on the water projection screens.

There are quite a few different songs utilized throughout the course of Mickey’s Mix Magic, including its theme song “It’s a Good Time.” Here is a look at all the songs featured throughout the show:

  • “It’s a Good Time”
