This weekend, the DAPS team took to Disneyland to celebrate Mother’s Day! Though we were not with our mothers at the parks, we sent our love to them before we set off. All of us are very appreciative for who our moms shaped us into and our entire adventure wouldn’t have been possible without them! We went to send a hearty “Thank you!” to all of the mother figures out there!
We started our day at Disneyland, where the parks were handing out carnations to celebrate the day. This is one of our favorite traditions to see at the park and we love that is has continued! We got our coffee and went on a nice walk around the park where we saw lots of characters in unusual places. It was a fun surprise on our stroll.
As Disneyland was rather busy, we head to Disney California Adventure Park to relax! We walked over to the Animation Building, where we decided it was time to learn to talk like a turtle! After our session with Crush, we head down to Beast’s library and the Sorcerer’s Workshop. Though this area has gotten smaller in recent times, it is always a fun place to head down to and explore.
When it was time to eat, we wanted to spend this special Mother’s Day with something special for dinner. We saw that there was little to no wait at Lamplight Lounge and we made our choice! We spent a few hours eating and enjoying the company of wonderful friends.
When we wrapped up, we took a spin on Jessie’s Critter Carousel, got special discounted ice cream, and went to Hyperspace Mountain! It was the perfect end to our day!
