Changes Coming to Parking at Disneyland Resort Ahead of Summer’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Opening

You may remember earlier this year when Disney announced Project Stardust. This project will help make Disneyland an even more magical place. Of course, a lot of these enhancements come ahead of the much-anticipated opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s EdgeWe are sure to see crowds unlike ever before and we need to be ready! We are excited to announce that the newest part of Project Stardust, changes in the current parking structures, is well on its way!

Firstly, the lots we already know and love will be seeing some changes! The Toy Story Lot will add more than 2,000 parking spaces before this summer, with additional entrances to the lot. This will hopefully clear up some of the traffic that leads into this lot on busier days in the parks.

There will also be security screening before guests get to the shuttle to the parks. This will hopefully clear up the foot traffic at the harbor entrance of the park.

Also coming to the Disneyland Resort is the new Pixar Pals Parking Structure! This lot will add 5,000 spaces to the resort and is anticipated to open before the end of July. I am the most excited to see the new electronic parking system added to the structure! No more driving to the end of an aisle without a spot waiting for you!

We also learned today the new names of the levels coming to the structure! When you park your car, expect to remember any of the following levels:

  1. Incredibles – Same level as tram service to Disney Parks
  2. Coco – Featuring the Walkway to Disney Parks & Downtown Disney when it opens later this year
  3. Cars
  4. Monsters, INC.
  5. Finding Nemo
  6. Inside Out
