Get Your First Look at Walt Disney World’s Newest Addition to the Swan and Dolphin Hotel

With Walt Disney World expanding so much within the next year, the hotel properties have to expand with it! Next on the list to expand is Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin hotels!

Marriot International, the owner and operator of Swan and Dolphin hotels, announced the plans to expand earlier this week. The expansion, called The Cove, will take its place across the street from the current Swan and Dolphin hotels, near the Fantasia Mini Golf Course. This tower expansion will include 349 rooms which will bring the hotel property up to 2,600 rooms in total!

The Cove will focus on conventions and events that may have outgrown the current tower locations. On top of that, The Cove will open a rooftop location for weddings and other VIP events that guests could want for a picturesque location! Much like the current Swan and Dolphin towers, The Cove will provide walking distance to Epcot. Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach resorts are also just a walk away, so this tower is right in the middle of the action!

Starting next year, this hotel will be even closer to the transportation around Walt Disney World! With Disney’s Skyliner opening in 2019, the hotel’s proximity to Epcot will become even more convenient! The Skyliner will take guests to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and the new Riviera resort! Between buses, Minnie Vans, and the new Skyliner, transportation at the Walt Disney World Resort is becoming the easiest it has ever been! Whether you want to resort hop or head into the parks, there’s an option for you!

Are you looking forward to seeing the newest addition to the Swan and Dolphin hotels within the next few years? We can’t wait to hear what you think!
