Epcot's The American Adventure Getting Updates

New American Icons Coming to The American Adventure at Epcot!

The American Adventure is an icon that guests see across the water when entering the World Showcase at Epcot from Future World. This attraction also is the host pavilion for all the other nations that inhabit World Showcase. The outside of the pavilion is built in the colonial style that harkens back to the origins of the United States of America. Inside there is a lobby with a beautiful dome. Under this dome, the Voices of Liberty sing regularly and fill the room with their glorious music. The main attraction at this pavilion though is the American Adventure show. Hosted by Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, the American Adventure takes guests on a trip through American history and the adventure it has been.

The American Adventure show is a very impressive show with 35 animatronic figures, a moving stage, and also projection technology. Currently being renovated, this show is about to become even more impressive. The Disney Parks Blog announced that when the show re-opens later this month it will have a few enhancements.

First off, the film for the show is being updated to digital. Some familiar faces are also being added from recent history to the show’s finale. American icons including music composer John Williams, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and ballerina Misty Copeland are being added to this section. Finally, the iconic song Golden Dream has been re-recorded. It has new orchestrations that should bring this music to life like never before!
