VES is the only organization in the entertainment industry to fully represent all visual effects, and the awards are considered prestigious and a feat in the industry. Last night, Avatar Flight of Passage won the award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project.
Avatar Flight of Passage is a unique, innovative attraction experience that immerses guests in the world of Pandora from the moment they step in the queue. Once guests board the attraction, the world around them transforms into Pandora as they soar above the mountains and feel the Banshee beneath them. This marks the second major industry award for this attraction as it also picked up a Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement: Attraction.
