Hayley Atwell, often recognized as the actress behind Agent Carter, is joining the cast of Christopher Robin. The actress joins a cast that includes Ewan McGregor as a grown up Christopher Robin. He has lost all of his imagination until Winnie the Pooh and friends re-enter his life. Atwell will play Christopher Robin’s wife.
Christopher Robin continues Disney’s trend of bringing classic animated films to life in a live-action format. Disney has re-imagined Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, and has several more live-action movies in the works.
Atwell has been connected with Disney for several years. She first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger as Peggy Carter. She also appeared in Cinderella as her mother in the live-action recreation of that film. She also appeared in Agent Carter in the title role.
Christopher Robin currently does not have a release date.
