Walt Disney Records is to release Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out soundtrack on June 16. Composed by Michael Giacchino, who has work on other films such as Up, Ratatouille and The Incredibles, brings to life the story we see on screen with his musical talent.
Giacchino said, “I had a lot of fun writing the music. There’s a 1930s jazzy section we wrote for the Forgetters, and we channel classic horror in the Subconscious. The film really goes all over the map musically, but what I love most about it is that we never forgot that it’s an emotional story that’s being told.”
And of course, be prepared for an emotional set of tunes.
In addition, the musical score includes a 70-piece orchestra which includes the likes of an organ, guitar, drums and more.
Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter, lands in theaters on June 19.
