DAPs Magic Disney News – by Mr. DAPs
Families visiting Disney Theme Parks will discover that their children under 14 will no longer be able to enter Disney Theme Parks alone. Starting March 23, kids 13 or under will need to be accompanied by someone 14 or older when entering a Disney Theme Park.
The change will not be enforced by ID checks at the gates. Instead, Cast Members will be able to question age of people entering the parks to confirm that they are 14 or older. If need be, parents will be asked to confirm age as it is recognized that not all younger teens have IDs to be able to confirm their age.
This policy was created in an effort to streamline policies of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California. According to Disneyland spokesperson Suzi Brown, “We regularly review all policies and identified an opportunity to provide a consistent age of admission and address a question we occasionally get from parents.”
