Welcome to our Musical Parody episode of Geeks Corner! In this episode you can see what two geeks can do when they have a keyboard, iPad, iPhone, and not enough time on their hands... err wait, too much time? I don't know. The geeks in this episode took five completely random songs and rewrote the lyrics. Things began with a parody of Sesame Street, that beloved children's show with those Muppet characters. For our parody episode we turned it into an opening number for "Geeks Corner." Next, a parody of DuckTales comes along. This one was written by our penguin interns. Instead of setting up the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his nephews, it now sets up the life of the penguins who help keep DAPs Studios running smoothly. Justin Beiber wrote a song a lot of people might know called "Baby." A good friend of Mr. DAPs/DAPs Magic and thereby Geeks Corner. This song is dedicated to Suzie and we hope she absolutely loves it. Maybe even more than Justin Beiber!? That'd be amazing! Next, a musical parody show wouldn't be complete if we didn't parody the Beatles. Mr. DAPs absolutely loves this group and this was one of the first songs added to the set list. Instead of "Hey Jude," Mr. DAPs and Johnny 5 dedicated this to our favorite site http://www.dudecheckoutmysite.com and the song became "Hey Dude!" Lastly, as the show closed out the geeks went on and sang a parody version of the theme song from Cheers. Where everybody knows your name now became everybody knows you are a geek. We also have our blog there, photos there, and our indiegogo campaign there to help raise money for REAL microphones! We appreciate your support!
