Snow Falls on Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland

Every year, Disney fans eagerly await the arrival of snow on the roof of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. This always seems to come earlier than one would expect. However, it generally happens in mid-October. This year is no different. On Monday, October 12, 2026, the first signs of snow appeared on Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Disneyland Resort. This marks the time of year when two holidays truly do collide, beyond what is happening in Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Friends of Daps Magic, Mike & Matt, stopped by the Disneyland Resort on Monday and took the following photos and video. To add to the magic, there were several characters who were out meeting with guests on either side of the castle. Take a look at this magical day here:

The snow will continue to fall on Sleeping Beauty Castle in the coming days. More decorations will then follow as the Disneyland Resort prepares for the holidays. The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begin on November 13, 2026, and continue through January 6, 2027. During this time, there will be so much more than holiday decor to enjoy for guests visiting The Happiest Place on Earth! A Christmas Fantasy parade will return, as will Believe… in Holiday Magic fireworks. Over at Disney California Adventure, World of Color – Season of Light will return to light up the night. The season will also see the return of other entertainment, seasonal Disney character costumes, seasonal attraction overlays, and a whole lot more!
