About Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Inside the World Discovery neighborhood at EPCOT, the Wonders of Xandar pavilion introduces park visitors to the culture and technology of the Xandarian people – but that culture exchange goes both ways. Hero of Xandar Star-Lord, a Terran himself who once visited EPCOT as a kid, is quick to share his own love of earthly rock ‘n’ roll music.
Once it’s about time for the guests to save the galaxy from the latest threat (of course, it is about time. Have you not been paying attention?) the action is accompanied by one of six rockin’ songs. Each track gives its own vibe to the galaxy-saving experience, bringing the attraction to life in a way perfectly suited to the quirky humor and heart of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
When it isn’t rocking to the Holiday Mix, the six songs that are normally offered are as follows:
- “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire
- “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps
- “Conga” by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine
- “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears
- “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls
- “One Way or Another” by Blondie
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind isn’t the only Walt Disney World Resort attraction getting new holiday tunes this year. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will become Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay.
