The Carolwood Foundation is hosting a special event called “Return to Rainbow Ridge” at Garner Holt Productions in Redlands, California, on Saturday, October 3.

Special guests including Disney Legend Floyd Norman, Bob Gurr, former Imagineer Tania McKnight Norris, Disney Legend Bob Gurr, Johnny Whitaker, Javier Soto, and Caitlin McHugh will be at the event. There will also be a silent auction and a live auction that will include one-of-a-kind and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

The live auction will include three memorable experiences:
- An unforgettable event at the restored home of Robert and Charlotte Disney, Walt’s first home in Hollywood. Never before offered for a private event, this is for a party of up to 12
- A personal tour of the Walt Disney Studios, with lunch, for a party of up to 6
- A personal tour of Walt Disney Feature Animation (the “Sorcerer’s Hat” building)(party size to be determined).
These experiences will be available in a live auction, with no outside bidding. You must be present to bid.
The silent auction will run through the event, with the winning bids announced at the end of the night. Among the items that will be available:
- A copy of The Complete Christmas Card Art of Eyvind Earle. This compilation of all of Earle’s Christmas card art from 1938-1995 was self-published in 1996, and is long since out of print. It measures 13×17 and weighs 17 pounds
- A signed serigraph by Eyvind Earle: Sleeping Beauty and the Three Fairies.
The silent auction will also include items from the following:
- Garner Holt Productions
- Disney Legend Floyd Norman
- Imagineer Tania McKnight Norris
- Disney artist and voice actor Bret Iwan
- Artist Willie Ito
- Author Mindy Johnson
More items will be added as well.
The event will be held the evening of October 3 at Garner Holt Productions. It is both a celebration and a benefit for the Carolwood Foundation, a registered 501-c3 with the State of California. Previously announced events include presentations by Walt’s granddaughter Joanna Miller (sharing personal memories of experiencing the attraction with her grandfather), Disney Legend Bob Gurr and Garner Holt (offering behind-the-scenes insights into the creation of the original attraction as well as the engine restoration), and a lively panel discussion with members of the Order of the Red Handkerchief (former Disneyland cast members who worked the attraction from 1956-1977).
Tickets are available at three levels here. Based on the level selected, there will be event souvenirs, tours, and exclusive access. Dinner will be served, and a specialty drink will be offered.
