Gazebo Is Being Dismantled in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure

A gazebo that has been a part of many celebrations at Disney California Adventure is being removed. Located in Paradise Gardens Park near the restrooms, Paradise Gardens Grill, and Goofy’s Sky School, the gazebo has hosted many character meet-and-greets over the years for different celebrations. It has also housed different displays inside or been used as a dining area. Now, it is being removed as the area sees work being done and is surrounded by walls (more on walls at Disney here). While the walls remain up, this gazebo is being pulled down. Here is a tour of Paradise Gardens Park that was filmed in January, before construction in the area began:

This week, Daps Magic has observed the dismantling of this structure. It almost appears that it is being taken down piece by piece. This has not been confirmed, however. Friends of Daps Magic, Mike and Matt, stopped by Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure on Friday evening and took the following photos and video of the work that is going on.

The work of dismantling this gazebo comes as this corner of Disney California Adventure is getting ready to welcome a new attraction based on Pixar’s Coco. More details about this attraction were revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. It is unknown at this time how this new attraction will impact the surrounding area at Disney California Adventure. Daps Magic will continue to monitor the work that is being done and provide updates as they become available.
