At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney revealed a few details about the Disney Believe. Soon, more magic will be revealed about the next ship that will be joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet. This includes details on the venues and entertainment aboard the ship. This also includes how people will be able to board it.
Imagineer Claire Weiss shared announcements about the Disney Believe at D23. It was revealed that a statue of Moana will be found in the Grand Hall. The stern of the ship will be adorned by Woody and Buzz, who will be drawing the name of the ship with crayons there. The bow will be getting some pixie dust with Tinker Bell. There are more details coming, however! “This ship celebrates belief in magic, family, the power of nature, and belief in yourself,” Weiss said. “And all the stories we tell onboard will be tied together by the core Disney notion of believing in something fantastical.”
On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 4:30 PM EST, there will be a livestream that will share what will be in store for this beautiful new ship. It will be broadcast on the Disney Parks social channels. It will also reveal all the details about the Disney Believe, including the homeport, itineraries, new venues, and entertainment that will be found aboard!
All of this comes after the first gigablock for the ship recently floated out into the shipyard in Papenberg, Germany. This is the first of three that will ultimately make up the Disney Believe. This ship, when completed, will be the fourth of the Disney Wish class ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
Another of this class is being built for Disney Cruise Line Japan. Disney also has announced that there will be a new class of ships being built for the ship after this one. This fleet of ships will be positioned in size between Disney’s classic ships and its newer vessels. Claire Weiss explained that these ships will be “right in the middle of our classic ships and our newer ones. That gives us some amazing opportunities to visit new places and reach brand new audiences we haven’t before.” This means that this new class of ship will be smaller than the Disney Wish and bigger than the Disney Wonder.
All of these announcements come as the Disney Cruise Line expands in size. Ultimately, the fleet will include 13 ships when this expansion is completed in 2030.
