A New Wall Color Appears in Tomorrowland at Disneyland

A wall in Tomorrowland at Disneyland has a very new look. Near the exit of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Little Green Men Store Command, the new wall has a different look from the rest of Tomorrowland. It is closer in color to the new paint that recently debuted on the outside of the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters building. At initial glance, one could almost imagine the new wall paint job being a salted caramel ice cream swirl. It also looks like it could be sedimentary rock on a distant planet in the future. There are lots of possibilities for what it could be.

Friends of Daps Magic, Mike and Matt, stopped by Disneyland on Friday afternoon and took the following photos and video of the newly painted wall. They shared that it is quite detailed and seemed to be painted by hand. There are also new lights that appear to be set up for a nighttime look as well. Take a look at this new wall below.

This new paint job comes after it was announced that a new version of Tomorrowland is coming to Disneyland. The announcement was made at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The details were scant (what is known can be found here), and it is unknown whether this newly painted wall is connected to it. However, in this new era of Disney that is faster and more engaged with fans, anything is possible!

Daps Magic will continue to monitor any other changes that are made in Tomorrowland, related or unrelated to this wall.
