Trash Cans at Walt Disney World Receive Upgrade

Disney Parks trash cans have had the same look since Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955. Disney Parks trash cans have also been themed to the various lands and parks, and many of them are unique to that particular theme park.

Now, new trash cans have been introduced at the Walt Disney World Resort. These trash cans are designed to support the incredible work Cast Members do every day to help keep the parks sparkling and ready for unforgettable memories.

These new trash cans are solar-powered and can even be plugged in. These bins can also be opened in one of two ways – pressing down on the pedal on the bottom with your foot or by using the handle with your hand.

These trash bins are also self-compacting and can hold significantly more.

In a video shared on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page, Cast Members featured in the video showed how to use the new trash bins and even said that they are perfect for pictures. In case you’re wondering, these trans bins will still feature the fun theming Walt Disney World guests are used to seeing on trash cans.

While the trash bins are working smarter behind the scenes, Cast Members are keeping the parks sparkling clean.

These trash bins have started to appear across Walt Disney World, and many more will be seen soon.
