The Nightmare Before Christmas Arrives in Confection Form at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

Jack Skellington and the rest of the residents of Halloweentown have returned and taken up residence at the Haunted Mansion for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. They will remain there through the holidays. This year, they have also taken up residence in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. A new confectionery appeared in the Great Hall that brings several of the characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to life in a very sweet way.

This beautiful display is titled “Spiral Hill Confectionery.” A sign next to it says that it took Disney pastry chefs over 800 hours to create. It also shared these other details about what was used to bring it to life:

  • 140 pounds of fondant
  • 175 pounds of chocolate
  • 150 pounds of powdered sugar
  • 105 pounds of rice cereal
  • 38 pounds of marshmallows

The Daps Magic team stopped by the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa on Sunday and took the following video and photos:

This confectionery display is one of the many offerings that can be found around the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time. For those who want to enjoy a sweet treat while looking at this sweet display, there is a stand just to the right of this display that has a great collection of seasonal offerings. There is also often a piano player in the Great Hall at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort continues through October 31, 2026. It sees the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday, Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark!, entertainment, merchandise, culinary offerings, and more!
