Disneyland 70th Celebration Disappears as Halloween Time Decorations Materialize

Sunday was the final day of the Disneyland 70th Celebration. In just about a week and a half, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will arrive. The first Oogie Boogie Bash – A Halloween Party is on Tuesday, August 18th. This is followed by the official kickoff of Halloween Time on Friday, August 21, 2026. By Monday morning, there had been several changes around the Disneyland Resort in anticipation of this transformation (and also D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort and Disney Jr. Let’s Play Party on Thursday).

In Town Square, the 70th medallion had been removed. The 70th medallion was also removed from Sleeping Beauty Castle, but the banners remained leading up to it. At the Main Street Cinema, the Sherman Brothers exhibit was closed for its removal after this milestone celebration. Daps Magic team member Steven and friend of Daps Magic Mike, took the following photos and video of the changes while entering Disneyland.

It is worth noting that the 70th medallion by Main Gate on the front of the Main Street Train Station remained on Monday. In the coming days, this transformation will continue as Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, and other Halloween friends continue to take over The Happiest Place on Earth. What do you think of the transformation so far? Are you looking forward to Halloween Time? What do you like most about it? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
