The end of the Disneyland 70th Celebration is nigh. Earlier this week, Daps Magic reported that the castle in the Esplanade was beginning to be dismantled. Just a couple of days later, the castle is now nearly gone. This comes ahead of the start of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort starting on August 21st. The official end of the Disneyland 70th Celebration will be on August 9th.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by the Disneyland Resort today. He caught up on many of the updates happening around the Disneyland Resort; this includes some updates along the Rivers of America. Below are photos he took of the continued dismantling of the castle in the Esplanade. Check out how rapidly this castle is disappearing.

The castle in the Esplanade was the newest of several different centerpieces that have inhabited the space through the years. As the Disneyland Resort enters its new era of DisneylandForward, many are wondering what the future will look like for the Esplanade. It is possible that this is the final centerpiece for this space. It is also possible that something could be put in place for D23 Day at Disneyland Resort ahead of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
What do you think should happen with this space in the Esplanade in the future? Which centerpiece through the years has been your favorite? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
