A new sign has appeared in the Ancient Sanctum of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. Found right in front of the Orb of Cagliostro while walking into the Sanctum, it demonstrates how to take a picture at the nearby optical illusion floor. This has been a popular photo spot since Avengers Campus opened in 2021. It allows people to add a little extra magic to their jumping photos at the Disneyland Resort. In this case, a simple jumping photo now looks like people could be jumping into a new dimension.

The story behind this location is that it is actually a mystical booby trap that protects Doctor Strange’s books. When someone tries to remove these books, they will be sucked into another dimension. At one point, Disney PhotoPass Service offered a photographer who could take photos at this location. This seems not to be the case anymore. It is unknown if this sign is permanent or a test for the location. It also isn’t known if this is the permanent home for this sign or if it will be moved closer to the location so it can be more easily used as a reference for those attempting to recreate this photo. The answer to this could be answered by the purpose of its existence: is it to demonstrate how to take the photo or help people discover this location? Daps Magic will continue to keep an eye on this and see what happens in the future.
