With just a month until D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, details are beginning to be released about what specifically will be offered. This includes the full programming calendar. It was also announced that Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase. This showcase will be inspired by the Carousel of Progress. There is another highlight in the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event programming lineup that has fans buzzing. The panel is called The Muppets Musical History with Seth MacFarlane.
If the name wasn’t enough to get people excited, the description adds to it! It reveals an upcoming Muppets orchestral album. Here is the official description:
Join Grammy®-nominated vocalist and Emmy® winner Seth MacFarlane and other special guests for a conversation about the timeless Muppets songbook. Seth will share the inspiration behind his upcoming Muppets orchestral album.
This panel will be taking place from 6:45 PM – 7:45 PM on Friday, August 13th, on the Walt Disney Archives stage. While there aren’t any more specifics currently revealed about this Muppetational panel, it wouldn’t be surprising if there are some Muppet appearances, potential performances, and other surprises.
What is known is that there is a new Muppets orchestral album in the works. Only time will tell what will be included on this album. This definitely will be something that fans will be eagerly anticipating.
DR. TEETH AND THE ELECTRIC MAYHEM
Music has always been a big part of The Muppets. Whether it is in The Muppet Show, Muppet movies, or the Electric Mayhem, songs have always played a big role in their performances. Songs like Rainbow Connection and It’s Not Easy Being Green have eclipsed The Muppets and are universally adored. They have also been performed by many other artists outside of The Muppets.
