On July 17, 2026, the Disneyland Resort celebrated its 71st birthday. This birthday celebration came as the Disneyland Resort continued its 70th anniversary celebration that began the year before. To celebrate this milestone, a birthday (or anniversary) cavalcade was offered at 1:30 PM. Before the cavalcade began, fans began to line up along the spots where it would have its show stops along the route at it’s a small world, Main Street, U.S.A., and Town Square.

The Daps Magic team watched the cavalcade from Town Square, where Walt Disney once said, “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome.” There, the team took a four-camera video of the cavalcade and the show stop. The cavalcade was an expanded version of the Celebrate Cavalcade. Along with Disney characters and dancers, the Dapper Dans and Disneyland Band joined in the fun. There was also a birthday cake float and balloons added to the cavalcade. Below is the video of this birthday moment:

The Disneyland Resort continues to celebrate its 70th anniversary, which began last year. Tonight, the Paint the Night parade and Wondrous Journeys will light up the night, as will Mickey’s imagination in Fantasmic! In Disney California Adventure, World of Color – Happiness will come to life in Paradise Bay. Both parks will also have special projection moments.
