The world will soon be able to see the newest chapter in the Toy Story franchise. Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters on June 19, 2026. Ahead of the opening, stars, crew, and special guests attended the film’s world premiere in Hollywood. This event included a special red carpet, a screening of the film, and a performance by Taylor Swift of her original song for the film, I Knew It, I Knew You. She also performed You’ve Got a Friend in Me with Disney Legend Randy Newman.
Ahead of the film, as celebrities made their way down the red carpet, several stopped to talk with the media about the film. Taylor Swift shared about the impact of the franchise on her and her family’s lives. Tom Hanks stopped for a moment to talk about the importance of toys and friendship while making his way down the red carpet.”I think it’s weird that these stories about toy slinky dogs and marionettes and styrene spacemen end up being a lesson for us all in the real world.” Check out what Hanks had to say in the following interview:
