A new trailer has been released for the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. This comes ahead of the season’s arrival on Paramount+ on July 23, 2026. The season will include 10 episodes. It will also continue to move the current crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Pike closer to the events of Star Trek: The Original Series. On top of that, it looks like it is going to be a heck of a ride to get there. There appear to be lots of emotional moments, action, adventure, horses, and… dinosaurs!? So What Do You Think?
This trailer for Strange New Worlds has a lot going on. There are plenty of moments that are nodding toward the future of the Enterprise and the crew and relationships that will be aboard her. There are also some hints at some moments that might turn out to be quite consequential. The overall tone of the trailer is more action/adventure with a little bit of what almost appears to be fantasy thrown in. What it isn’t is comedic. While it seems to be showing quite a few different moments from the ten episodes of the season, it doesn’t show anything from the episode utilizing puppets. It will be interesting to see what happens with that. Paramount may be trying to lean into the feel that it feels the franchise should go with this trailer. It could also simply be a marketing decision.
The fourth season stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn. They will be joined by guest stars Carol Kane and Paul Wesley. It will be interesting to see how much more of Paul Wesley appears in this season as he moves towards becoming the captain of the Enterprise. It will also be interesting to see how the stories of characters who don’t appear in The Original Series play out. This could impact about half of the current crew of the Enterprise.
