Halloween Screams

Halloween Screams Returning to Disneyland for Halloween Time

Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort on Friday, August 21, and continues through Saturday, October 31. With that, many guest favorite entertainment options return as well. One such entertainment option is the Halloween Screams Fireworks Spectacular.

Halloween Screams was first introduced at Disneyland on September 25, 2009. It immediately became super popular with guests, and has been delighting guests of all ages ever since. Halloween Screams is based off of “Hallowishes,” which ran at Magic Kingdom Park from 2005 through 2018 during “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.” Halloween Screams uses the same soundtrack, but there are noticeable differences, with the most notable being Jack Skellington replacing the Ghost Host as the ‘master of scare-monies’ and the inclusion of Zero, his ghostly dog.

During Halloween Screams, vindictive villains take over Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America with colorful projections each evening. Maleficent, Ursula, and other favorite fiends cackle in the sky to a medley of macabre music, including fireworks on select nights.

This wicked display is a true Halloween treat for Guests of all ages. Your nocturnal delight kicks off with an eerie greeting from your “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington and his ghostly dog Zero—spirits from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. As Jack and Zero fade into the night leaving you to enjoy what’s to come, settle in and embrace the jump-worthy collision of sights and sounds—soaring images of ghosts and classic Disney villains like Maleficent and Ursula the Sea Witch—all set to a medley of Halloween-inspired songs. As you reach the grand finale, there’s no need to be shy because you are free to sing—or even scream―along!

Please note that Halloween Screams is subject to cancellation without notice due to weather or other circumstances. It is important to check the Disneyland Entertainment Schedule or the Disneyland app for dates and showtimes; nights featuring fireworks will be listed as Halloween Screams with Fireworks.

Theme park reservations and valid admission for the same park on the same day are required for park entry. Park reservations are limited, subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Entertainment, experiences and offerings may be modified, limited in availability or unavailable, and are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.
